ERN ReCONNET Exchange Programme for

Ukrainian Healthcare Professionals

 

The ERN ReCONNET Exchange Programme offers healthcare professionals the opportunity to visit an ERN ReCONNET centre, exchange knowledge and experience with colleagues, and learn from good practices in the field of rare and complex connective tissue and musculoskeletal diseases (rCTDs).

For the 2026–2027 edition, 5 exchange opportunities have been reserved for Ukrainian healthcare professionals.

 

Who Can Participate?

This dedicated opportunity is open to Ukrainian healthcare professionals who:

  • are currently working in a healthcare centre or hospital in Ukraine; and
  • are actively involved in the care of patients affected by one or more diseases covered by ERN ReCONNET.

The programme covers: APS, EDS, IIM, IgG4-RD, MCTD, Relapsing Polychondritis, Sjögren’s Disease, SLE, Systemic Sclerosis and UCTD.

Ukrainian applicants do not need to belong to an ERN ReCONNET Full Member or Affiliated Partner institution.

 

What Can You Expect?

During your exchange, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Share and gain clinical and organisational knowledge on rCTDs;
  • Participate in education and training activities;
  • Exchange good practices and experiences;
  • Learn from colleagues working in specialised European centres.

Financial Support

ERN ReCONNET will cover travel expenses and provide a daily allowance for accommodation and meals, in accordance with the applicable European Commission rules.

How Does It Work?

Exchange visits generally last 3–5 days and are organised in coordination with the host centre.

Following the exchange, participants must submit a report describing their experience and activities. The report must be submitted within one month after the end of the visit.
