Enpr-EMA: Cross-Border Access to Paediatric Clinical Trials Survey

 In News

The Cross-Border Access to Paediatric Clinical Trials Working Group (WG) created by the European Network of Paediatric Research at the European Medicines Agency (Enpr-EMA) is collecting data.
The aim of this WG is to facilitate the inclusion of children and young people in clinical trials across Europe avoiding any language barriers. Recently, this WG has identified that some patients could not take part in a clinical trial because they do not speak the official language of the country where the trial is performed or English.

Enpr-EMA is currently collecting data from Clinical Research Units and, also from parents of children living with a disease. Your contribution answering a survey is important to provide us with necessary clinical information to analyse:

  1. How the access to paediatric patients to cross-border clinical trials in Europe is managed in terms of language barriers, and
  2. If you have no experience of participating in a clinical trial, we would like to know your preferences.

You can access the  survey here and it takes 12-15 minutes to complete.
Your contribution will be relevant to help in the process to create future guidance and recommendations to facilitate the inclusion of the children and young people in cross-border clinical trials across Europe, with no exclusion due to mother tongue.

Survey closes 30 September.
