Highlights from this edition:
- A new bridge between networks ERN ReCONNET and ERKNet have signed a Memorandum of Understanding — a concrete step toward deeper cross-network collaboration on overlapping diseases, shared registries, and joint research.
- Europe is opening new doors The European Commission has launched the 2026 Call for ERN Affiliated Partners, giving healthcare providers in 14 countries a formal route into the ERN ecosystem. Five of those countries — Bulgaria, Cyprus, Ireland, Norway, and Slovakia — currently have no coverage in ERN ReCONNET. The deadline to apply is 1 September 2026.
- Your voice matters — two surveys open now We are calling on patients, caregivers, and organisations to take part in two ongoing European-wide surveys: one on digital lesion self-management in systemic sclerosis, and one on transition from paediatric to adult care. Please share them widely.
- Science and education in full swing Two new papers out — including one in Lancet Rheumatology on patient partnership. Seven free webinars coming up between May and June. All recordings available on our YouTube channel.
- Milestones worth celebrating Over 92% of ERN ReCONNET HCPs contributed to this year’s annual monitoring — placing us among the top-performing ERNs. The first interim report of our current grant cycle has also been successfully submitted to the European Commission.
- Where to find us next EULAR 2026 — Booth O13, NPO Area. Come say hello. Also on the horizon: ISSjD 2026 in Paris and ECRD 2026 in Prague.
