EURORDIS Awards 2024 Volunteer Award is our ePAG Silvia Aguilera
ERN ReCONNET is proud and happy to annouce that our ePAG Advocate, Silvia Aguilera, has been awarded of the EURORDIS 2024 Volunteer Award. Congratulations from the entire Network!
At ERN ReCONNET, Silvia is the ePAG Advocate representing the Antiphospolid Syndrome (APS) and she is also the Chair of the Young ERN ReCONNET Working Group together with Prof. Vanessa Smith. She was awareded of the ERN ReCONNET bursary to join the EULAR 2023 congress in Milan (Italy) last May; she also joined the ERN ReCONNET Coordination Team in Bilbao (Spain) for Conference on Rare Diseases and the European Reference Networks last October.
She is an active member of our community and extremely dedicated to the Network actions, projects, and initiatives. Several are the ERN ReCONNET webinars on APS and those on pregnancy that saw her participate as speaker or moderator together with our experts.
Currently, Silvia is the Vice President of the Spanish Antiphospholipid Syndrome Association (SAF España). since June 2023, she is a member in the patient PARE committee for the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR). She is also part of several patient and medical working and study groups at the EULAR, Lupus Europe, and EURORDIS.
The EURORDIS Volunteer Award recognizes this extensive dedication Silvia has shown to the rare disease community.
